So I always meant to do a word of the year. I thought picking a word of the year for 2019 would be a cool way to bring focus to the year ahead, and this year I actually picked a word.

It seems appropriate since we’re building a house and planning on starting foster care. Pretty soon, we’re going to be living the instant family life. (side note: I love that movie. Everyone needs to see it.)
But more than just that, I want to focus on the things that matter and are important. The things that make a house a home.
