So I have many different books going based on where I am and what I’m doing. They pretty much stay put unless one hooks me enough that I take it everywhere I am until it’s finished. So here’s a rundown of what I’m reading where and my thoughts right now on them.
Bedside
- The Heir by Keira Cass- My sister let me borrow her copy but I haven’t gotten very far since by the time I get to bed I’m just exhausted. Hopefully I’ll finish it off before the month’s out.
- Zombies VS Unicorns by various Authors- This is a collection of Short Stories by a bunch of YA authors. I read one here and there and so far love it along with the snarky commentary trying to convince the reader which side they should pick.
Car
- The Memory Keeper’s Daughter: I just bought this at our library sale. I remember way back when it came out that it came on my radar and never got around to it. It’s a very different story than what I usually read, and pretty long. We’ll see if it can keep my attention.
Work
- I just finished The Jewel that was my work audiobook. I’ve been trolling the Overdrive Audiobooks to find my next one, but nothing has really clicked. If someone has a recommendation I’d love to hear it.
Couch
- My Ideal Bookshelf Edited by Thessaly La Force Art by Jane Mount- This was another libary sale purchase. I never would have bought it or even been looking for something like this, but it was just sitting at the top of a box and caught my eye. Basically it’s a bunch of creative people that put together their perfect bookshelf and talks about why they picked those books. Each shelf has an awesome watercolor version and it’s just so interesting to see what has struck a chord with various people. I am a little ashamed how many books are on the shelves that I’ve never even heard of. I guess I’ll be checking out some new books.
Waiting
- Moonlands by Steven Savile- I got this as an ARC from Netgalley. I’m only a couple chapters in and it’s interesting so far. It’s switched between characters a couple times, so I haven’t really latched onto it, but I have enough questions driving me that I’m still reading in the snippets of my day.
