Thoughts
Lemony Snickets dry and quirky humor is all through the pages. The odd ball characters and interesting surroundings make this book easy fall into. It’s an easy and quick read that also challenges readers to think, a mark of a good book for this age. The cover defiantly gives you the right vibe going into the story, and the small illustrations at the beginning of chapters also build on the storyline. If you liked series of unfortunate events, I would say this is a great next series to look into. But then, I’ve only read the first chapter.
I’ll eventually read it, but after getting through the first chapter, I realized this was the second book in the series. So I’m going to find the first one and start there.
