- Tea- So after a year and a half, my sister and I were finally able to take our Mom and Mamaw to tea. It was supposed to be a Mother’s Day present last year but schedules just never seemed to match until this month. We went to a great place called Unique Celebrations. They had great hats we could wear and the food was awesome. It was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon, and we had the tea house to ourselves, which meant we could goof around as much as we wanted.
- Opera- My sister and I went to see La Lrovatore which is the Opera with the Anvil Chorus. I wasn’t sure what more to expect, but it was a great story and the cast did a great job interpreting it, not to mention it had some really humorous moments. I think it would be a good first time opera, but then it’s only my second time going to a live one, so I have a limited recommendation list.
- Saw Lysa TerKeurst- Lysa is a Christian Author that I hadn’t really heard about before. But my boss was helping with the North American Christian Convention woman’s track this year and so a bunch of us decided to go down for lunch and hear her speak. She was fabulous and funny and now I want to read some of her books.
